DUBAIGlobal Village, Dubai’s iconic multicultural family destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, reopened yesterday with a spectacular start to its landmark 30th season, themed “A More Wonderful World.”

The opening night immersed visitors in colour, sound, and celebration, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the most exciting editions yet.

The festivities began with the rhythmic beats of the Retumbar street drummers and the vibrant Parade of the World, where representatives from all 30 pavilions united to welcome guests.

A shower of confetti filled the air, reflecting the festive mood of a destination that has captivated millions for three decades.

Sky spectacle

The night sky turned into a canvas of light and wonder as hundreds of drones illuminated the darkness, forming a glowing “30” and spelling out the season’s theme.

The breathtaking spectacle reached new heights when wing-suited skydivers dived through the formation, trailing sparks and fire against the night sky.

Later, 600 drones soared once again in synchronised formation, revealing glowing messages that invited visitors to discover the thrilling experiences awaiting them in Season 30.

Dazzling entertainment

Entertainment took centre stage across the venue, from the Main Stage and Kids’ Theatre to the pavilions brimming with cultural performances.

Visitors were treated to live music, dance shows, and the all-new stunt spectacular, while Dragon Lake hosted a laser show that mesmerised the crowd. An all-new light show near the main stage added yet another layer of spectacle to the night.

What’s new this season

Global Village’s 30th edition promises even more variety and excitement. Open daily from 4PM, it features 30 pavilions with over 3,500 shopping outlets, 250 dining options, and more than 200 rides, games, and attractions. Guests can also enjoy 40,500 live shows scheduled across the season.

To cap off each weekend, the iconic fireworks will continue to light up the Dubai skyline every Friday and Saturday at 9PM – a fitting tribute to 30 seasons of cultural celebration and family fun.
